How do I decide on a course topic?

Choosing the right course topic is a collaborative process between you and the Uxcel education team. Together, you'll select a subject that matches your expertise, aligns with learner demand, and complements Uxcel’s current course catalog.

How topic selection works

1. Collaborative planning
Once you join the instructors program, you'll meet with our education team to explore course ideas. We’ll assess your background, strengths, and interests to suggest topics that will resonate with learners.

2. Industry relevance
We focus on creating courses that meet real-world needs in UX and product management. Ideal topics include specialized areas such as:

  • Accessibility

  • Service design

  • UX writing

  • Reducing churn

  • UX for SaaS or e-commerce

3. Platform demand
We also analyze platform data to identify trending skills and gaps in our current offerings. Your topic should align with what learners are actively searching for and what companies are hiring for.

Tips for choosing a great topic

  • Reflect on what you’re known for in the UX community

  • Consider areas where you’ve mentored or taught before

  • Think about unique case studies or frameworks you can bring

  • Look for intersections between your expertise and what’s currently underrepresented in UX education

Already have content?

If you’ve developed educational materials in the past (workshops, presentations, articles), let us know! We may be able to adapt and integrate your existing work into a new Uxcel course.
