Briefs at Uxcel are real-world project scenarios that help you apply your design or product management skills, build your professional portfolio, and stand out with hands-on experience in UX, Product Management, or AI-related roles. Whether you're crafting a customer journey map or building a product roadmap, these projects simulate the challenges you’ll face in modern product teams — where collaboration, critical thinking, and strategic execution are key.

Step 1: Choose your Brief

Head over to the Briefs page and explore available projects. You can filter them by:

  • Track: UX, PM, or All

  • Difficulty: beginner to advanced

  • Length: Estimate of time to complete (e.g., 1h, 2h)

  • Status: completed, draft, etc.

Each brief includes a clear scenario, task instructions, and supporting templates. This helps you immediately dive into a realistic product or design challenge.

👉 Pro Tip: Unsure where to begin? Start with a brief that aligns with your career goals — UX roles often focus on design flows and accessibility, while PM briefs may cover roadmaps or feature prioritization.

Step 2: Complete the brief

Follow the task instructions provided in the brief. This might include:

  • Designing a solution in Figma

  • Writing a feature spec or roadmap

  • Creating a user journey map

  • Addressing an ethical or inclusive design challenge

As you work through the task, document your decision-making process and reflect on how your solution solves the challenge—this builds your storytelling ability, a key skill for both PMs and designers working with AI-driven tools.

Step 3: Submit your project

Once your work is ready:

  1. Click “Post project” on the brief page.

  2. Add a cover image (1600px+ recommended).

  3. Upload your work using supported formats:

    • PDFs

    • High-resolution images (JPG, PNG, GIF)

    • Figma links

    • Videos (MP4)

  4. Describe your project and explain your decisions clearly. The more thoughtful your explanation, the more valuable the feedback you’ll receive.

You’ll earn PX points for each submission—and more importantly, gain actionable insights from community feedback and peer reviews.

Step 4: Get inspired by others

Click “View projects” on any brief to explore how other learners approached the same challenge. This is a great way to:

  • Compare different approaches

  • Learn from diverse perspectives

  • Improve your own submission

Whether you're submitting a UX case study or a PM strategic brief, learning from others helps sharpen your product thinking in real-world contexts.
