Yes, you can leave the exam after starting it. However, the timer will continue running. If you don't complete the exam within the allocated time, it will be marked as incomplete and the attempt will still count.

What happens if I leave the exam?

  • The timer does not pauseOnce the exam starts, the countdown continues even if you close the window or leave your computer.

  • Incomplete exams are auto-submittedIf you run out of time, your answers will be automatically submitted, and your attempt will be recorded.

  • You cannot resume laterIf you close or exit the exam, you won't be able to return to the same session. Since each purchase gives you one attempt, you'll need to purchase a new attempt to retake it.

Retaking the exam

If you don't finish or don't pass, you can purchase a new attempt at any time.

  • A retake is always priced at 50% of the original exam cost

  • This applies no matter how long it has been since your last attempt, and regardless of whether you passed or failed

Best practices before starting the exam

To ensure a smooth experience:

  • Use a stable internet connection to avoid disruptions

  • Find a quiet, distraction-free environment

  • Set aside the full exam duration for your tier (see the table above)

  • Review the certification exam guidelines before starting
