Minimum score required to pass

To pass a Certified by Uxcel exam, you must achieve a score of 70% or higher. This threshold is the same across all three tiers: Foundational, Professional, and Speciality.

This score represents the level of knowledge and practical understanding required for certification.

How difficulty is built into the exam

Rather than requiring a very high passing score, difficulty is built into the exam itself through the mix and calibration of questions for each tier. Speciality and Professional exams, for example, include more advanced scenario-based questions than Foundational exams.

This means a 70% pass mark reflects genuine competency at your chosen tier, not a lowered bar.

How scoring works

Each question is worth one point. Your score is the percentage of questions answered correctly, measured against the fixed 70% passing threshold.

What happens if I pass the exam?

If your score meets or exceeds the passing threshold:

  • your certification is issued automatically

  • the credential appears in your profile

  • you can download or share the certificate
