Are there any tax implications for my earnings?

Yes, as an instructor earning income through Uxcel, you may be responsible for reporting your earnings and fulfilling tax obligations according to the laws in your country of residence. While Uxcel does not withhold taxes directly, we encourage all instructors to be aware of local tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Tax reporting responsibilities

As an independent contributor or affiliate, you are responsible for reporting your earnings to your local tax authorities. This includes:

  • Income from course completions

  • Income from referral commissions

  • Any bonuses or additional earnings from Uxcel

Will Uxcel send me tax forms?

  • If you are based in the United States, you may be required to submit a W-9 form, and Uxcel (or its affiliate platform) may issue a Form 1099 if your earnings exceed the annual threshold

  • If you are outside the U.S., you may be asked to submit a W-8BEN form (or local equivalent), but Uxcel will not issue a local tax form

These forms are generally submitted through the affiliate dashboard when setting up your account.

Affiliate platform compliance

If you're earning commissions via Uxcel’s affiliate platform, the platform may request tax information during account creation or payout setup. Be sure to:

  • Complete all required tax forms accurately

  • Stay informed about thresholds and rules based on your country
