Who Foundational certifications are for
Foundational certifications are designed for early-career professionals and career switchers who want to validate core skills as they enter or move into a digital product role. If you're just starting out, or transitioning from another field, this tier is the recommended starting point — though it's not required before pursuing Professional or Speciality certifications.
Certifications available
Uxcel Certified UX PractitionerValidates foundational knowledge of UX principles — user research basics, wireframing, usability, and core design thinking. A good fit for anyone building a UX career from the ground up.
Uxcel Certified Product PractitionerValidates foundational product management knowledge — product lifecycle basics, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration fundamentals.
Uxcel Certified AI PractitionerValidates foundational understanding of AI concepts as applied to product and design work — core AI/ML terminology, responsible AI principles, and practical use in product workflows.
Exam details
Foundational exams include 65 questions with a 55-minute time limit, and a passing score of 70%. Each attempt is a single purchase; if you don't pass, you can retake immediately at 50% of the original exam cost.
