If you earned a certification before this change (for example, UX/UI Designer, UI Designer, or UX Writer), it remains valid β nothing is revoked.
A few things to know:
Longer validity. Your certificate's validity has been extended from 1 year to 3 years from its original issue date.
Retired certification types stay on your record. Some role-based certifications, like UX/UI Designer or UX Writer, are no longer offered to new candidates. If you hold one of these, it stays valid on your profile as-is β you don't need to re-earn it under a new name.
You can refresh your certificate. Use the Update name action on your certificate to refresh its look. You can also choose to keep your name exactly as it currently appears.
FAQs
Do I need to do anything? No β the extended validity applies automatically. Refreshing the look is optional.
Can I earn a new tiered certification in addition to my existing one?Yes, tiers can be taken independently of what you already hold.
