Who Certified by Uxcel is designed for

Certified by Uxcel is designed for individuals who want to validate their professional skills in digital product roles such as UX design, product design, product management, and AI-related disciplines.

Certification can help demonstrate that you have the knowledge and practical understanding expected from professionals working in these fields — and the tier you choose depends on where you are in your career.

Which tier fits you

Foundational — early-career professionals and career switchers

Learners who have completed foundational courses and want to validate their skills with a recognized credential, or individuals transitioning into UX design, product design, or product management from another industry.

Foundational certification can help demonstrate readiness for entry-level or junior roles, and relevant knowledge when entering a new field.

Professional — working designers and product professionals

Professionals already working in UX, design, or product roles who want to formally verify their expertise at a role-ready level.

Professional certification can strengthen professional credibility and support career advancement.

Speciality — deep expertise in a specific discipline, tool, or method

Professionals who want to validate focused expertise — such as a specific tool (Figma), a discipline (UX Research, Accessibility, Design Thinking), or a capability (Product Analytics, AI Product Design) — regardless of which tier they've completed before.

There are no dependencies between tiers: you can take a Speciality certification without first completing a Foundational or Professional one.

Teams and organizations

Companies can use certifications across all three tiers to benchmark skills, establish a shared standard of expertise, and support internal mobility.

Do you need prior experience?

There are no strict prerequisites for taking a certification exam, at any tier.

However, it is recommended that learners:

  • review the recommended preparation materials

  • complete relevant courses

  • practice with skill assessments

When should you consider certification?

You may be ready for certification if you:

  • understand the core principles of your field or tier

  • can confidently answer practice questions

  • have completed relevant learning materials

  • want to demonstrate your expertise professionally

Certification is designed to confirm that you've reached the level of competency expected for your chosen tier.
