Can I get a prorated refund if I switch plans in the middle of a billing cycle?

At Uxcel, we strive to provide flexibility when upgrading or switching between plans. Below are details on our refund policy and how plan changes work.


Refund policy for subscription cancellations

Monthly subscriptions

  • Monthly plans are non-refundable, meaning once you've been billed for a month, your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing cycle. No refunds are issued for the unused portion.

First-time annual subscriptions

  • If this is your first annual subscription purchase, you may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided that you:

    • Have not completed a certificate

    • Have not consumed a significant amount of premium content

"First-time" means you have never previously held an annual plan, or this is your very first Uxcel subscription of any kind.

Annual subscription renewals

  • If your annual subscription has recently renewed, you may be eligible for a refund if you submit your request within 24 hours of the renewal charge.

If your request qualifies, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. For further assistance, contact Uxcel Support.


Plan upgrades and downgrades

Upgrading your plan

If you choose to upgrade your plan, the process varies depending on the type of upgrade:

  • From monthly to annual Pro plan:

    • You must first cancel your current monthly plan and wait until the end of the billing cycle before purchasing the annual plan.

    • No refunds will be issued for the remaining monthly period.

  • From Pro (Annual) to Team or Enterprise plan:

    • If you're an annual Pro subscriber upgrading to a Team or Enterprise plan, you may be eligible for a prorated refund on the unused portion of your Pro plan. Please contact Uxcel support, and our team will review your request and let you know if it qualifies.


Downgrading your plan

If you choose to downgrade your plan (e.g., from an annual to a monthly plan), the downgrade will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds or credits will be provided for the unused portion of your current plan.


Important notes on cancellation

  • Access after cancellation: Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, after which your account will revert to the free Starter plan, retaining limited access to Uxcel features.

  • Certificates & progress: Any certificates you have earned will remain accessible in your profile even after cancellation.

  • Payment method adjustments: If you need to update your billing details or payment method, ensure you do so in your Subscription settings before canceling or upgrading your plan.


How to cancel or upgrade your subscription

To cancel or upgrade your Uxcel subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Uxcel account and go to Account settings.

  2. Navigate to the Subscription section.

  3. Click on Cancel subscription or Upgrade plan, and follow the on-screen prompts.
