At Uxcel, we take content ownership, originality, and intellectual property rights seriously to protect both our instructors and learners. Below is an overview of how copyright and intellectual property (IP) are handled under the Uxcel instructors program.
Ownership of course content
All final course content published on Uxcel is the intellectual property of Uxcel. While instructors contribute as subject matter experts and may help curate or shape the content:
Uxcel retains full rights to all written, visual, and interactive course materials developed under the program
Instructors cannot republish or redistribute Uxcel course content on other platforms, websites, or channels
Use of instructor’s pre-existing materials
Instructors may propose using their own previously created content (e.g., frameworks, models, slides, or exercises) as part of course development. However:
The content must be original and owned by the instructor
Once integrated, it becomes part of Uxcel’s platform and is subject to the same IP terms
Uxcel may adapt or reformat contributed materials to fit platform standards
External content & copyright guidelines
Instructors may not include third-party content (e.g., images, videos, text excerpts) in course materials unless:
The content is royalty-free or available under an open license
Proper attribution is provided, if required
Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted materials
Referencing Uxcel content externally
Instructors are welcome to reference their Uxcel course(s) in portfolios, blog posts, résumés, or talks, provided that:
Uxcel is clearly credited as the platform where the course is hosted
No proprietary course content (videos, lesson text, or exercises) is reproduced publicly
Collaboration with other platforms
Uxcel instructors are free to create content or work with other educational platforms, but:
You may not reuse or repurpose Uxcel courses or materials elsewhere
You must not present Uxcel-owned content as your own or offer it under a different brand
